AI has endless patience. We have a little less.

AI does not roll its eyes. It does not sigh when you change your mind for the tenth time. And it starts again without complaint.

What a relief.

Finally, someone to talk to who adapts to your pace, your wishes and your ideas.

But what if we slowly get used to a world where the other party always adapts to us?

Because people are difficult.

They do not understand you straight away. They have different interests. They ask awkward questions. And sometimes they are right, too.

That is precisely where the interesting work begins.

See that someone else looks at the same reality but notices something quite different.

Do what it takes to really understand each other, even when it takes effort.

Own the fact that not everyone will adapt to your expectations.

AI can take a lot of thinking off our hands. But should we also want to outsource the discomfort of human interaction?

Perhaps AI’s greatest challenge is not that machines are becoming more human.

But that we are becoming less patient with real people.

And, let’s be honest: a “regenerate response” button would be rather useful in some meetings.
